It all started in a little place in Chicago, Illinois, with a small bakery that specialized in preparing, from scratch, that all-American urban delicacy: the bagel. That was back in 1987. Today, The Great American Bagel (TGAB) has become a household name in the United States, a staple of the urbanite diet beloved by all fromthe East coast to the West coast and all the way up to Canada. With over 220 locations in North America, the TGAB brand is in the perfect position to expand overseas. Stores are already operational in Ireland, the UK, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait, with more on the way.
People always ask us what makes our bagels so special, but like a magician, a baker never reveals his secrets. Suffice it to say that the recipe for our success is nothing more than good old-fashioned dedication to our craft; consistently meeting our own high standards of quality and freshness, we’ve been serving the best bagel around for almost 3 decades now.
But, our name notwithstanding, TGAB is about more than just bagels. Over the years we’ve refined a highly diversified menu, transforming the brand from a onetrick pony to a full-fledged F&B heavyweight that offers a well-rounded, exciting culinary experience.
